Bilfinger Industrial Services, known as a leading one stop shop provider for complex industrial services is seeking an Electrician responsible for maintaining, repairing and installing electrical components and systems in a manufacturing facility or field setting at our Jackson, TN site location.
Safety is a priority, employee must understand construction risks and bring them to the attention of their supervisor.
Installation of various types of anchors and supports used to mount and support boxes, receptacles and other components.
Proper selection, inspection, use and maintenance, of common electrical test equipment.
Knowledge of the types and application of raceways, wire-ways and ducts.
Ability to read electrical blueprints, including schematics, including one-lines and wiring diagrams.
Knowledge of AC & DC motors including the main parts, circuits and connections, including experience troubleshooting 480vac 3 phase motor control systems.
Understands the purpose and methods of grounding and bonding electrical systems.
Ability to use mechanical, hydraulic and electrical benders.
Ability to select and size outlet boxes, pull boxes and junction boxes.
Understands the transportation, storage and set up of cable reels, methods of rigging and procedures for complete cable pulls in raceways and cable trays.
Ability to terminate and splice conductors of all sizes and types.
Understands the purpose, use, and application of all circuit breakers, fuses, contractors and relays.
Able to calculate and install potential transformers, current transformers, constant current transformers, and shielded transformers.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
This position requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, balancing, kneeling and crawling
Familiarity with National Electrical Code
High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience or an Associate degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance.
Minimum 4 years of electrical experience,
Controls experience is preferred.
Background Checks and Drug Tests will be required.
Ability to work at heights greater than six feet off of the ground.
Valid drivers license.
