Position Statement

Directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function for the company Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and administer all HR departmental functions. Includes establishing goals/objectives, policies and procedures in line with Bilfinger NA and Bilfinger SE guidelines; monitoring department performance to assure compliance; develop and approve operating budgets and expenses, staffing, training, and supervising department personnel, etc.

Responsible for the management of employee benefits

Communicates changes in personnel policies and procedures and insure proper compliance is followed.

Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of wage and salary program.

Coordinates and/or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.

Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, and/or as directed by the CEO and/or Bilfinger NA HR director on personnel matters.

Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.

Recommends, evaluates, and participates in Staff Development.

Manages hiring process for craft and staff

Ensures Hire to Retire Process meets corporate compliance guidelines

Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets personnel information needs.

Supervises the staff of the Human Resources Department.

Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.

Perform additional duties as dictated by CEO, Bilfinger NA HR director and/or Board of Director's.

Technical Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field

Progressive human resources experience with a minimum five years in a management role

Previous experience with union workforce

Working knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws

Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organization, and time management skills

Proven ability to work effectively with all employees

Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple products/tasks autonomously

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
