Structural Engineer
Bilfinger Industrial Services is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team at our Cape Girardeau, MO Office. This position is responsible for assisting with engineering design and drafting for structures in industrial and manufacturing facilities. Candidates need to have a strong background in structural steel and reinforced concrete design. Ideal candidates have internal drive, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have the experience and knowledge to manage the construction installation of the engineered structures. We provide complete structural engineering design, from foundations to superstructure, for manufacturing, industrial facilities. We use the latest software to generate rendered three-dimensional models with fully integrated equipment, piping, architectural, and building services models to efficiently generate preliminary framing plans and produce quantity take-offs for estimating.
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Institution with 0-5 years of experience in structural design role for industrial facilities. Some experience in design of light-framed buildings is preferred.
- EIT required
- Background in structural steel, metal stud, timber, masonry and reinforced concrete design.
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of design analysis software STAAD. Pro and RISA 3-D
- Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills is vital.
- Willingness to research new engineering concepts and learn on his/her own, while paying close attention to project deadlines.
- Work with other engineering disciplines to provide economical engineering solutions to complex projects.
- Support construction throughout construction activities.
