Job Summary:
The Chiller Technician is responsible for overseeing all chiller systems at their assigned sites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs routine maintenance and repair on chilled water systems and hot water/steam heating systems, and related equipment
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly inspection, testing, certification, maintenance and repairs on the large chilled water and heating systems
- Opens and inspects chillers, condensers, cooling towers, belts, valves, back-flow preventers and motors
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Maintains equipment logs for assigned systems
- Read and understand P&ID’s
- Hands on millwright / mechanic work on occasion
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong skill in modern refrigeration systems & controls
- 5-10 years experience as an HVAC technician in an industrial environment
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety
- Strong skill in modern refrigeration systems & controls
- Universal EPA refrigerant certification
- This is a full time position, with no travel pay or per diem
