Entry Level Cost Engineer

Bilfinger Industrial Services, Inc. known as a leading one stop shop provider for complex industrial services is seeking a Cost Engineer in Training (Entry Level). This position requires a self-motivated individual who researches and evaluates potential construction projects for the company/client.

Requirements:

• Assist in analyzing drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor take-offs for estimating
• Assess cost of products, services, and tracking actual costs relative to bid.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Work with the team to prepare estimates and bids for clients.
• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times etc.
• Utilize software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of mathematics and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with estimating software and spreadsheet design.

Work Environment:

• This role typically works in an office setting during regular business hours, with occasional site visits required. This role will be hybrid with a period for in person training.

• Collaboration with project management teams and clients is a regular part of the job.

Career Path:

• Entry Level Estimators may have the opportunity to advance to Senior Estimator or Project Manager roles with experience and continued education.
