Bilfinger Inc, known as a leading one stop shop provider for complex industrial services is seeking Millwrights at our Kansas City facility.

 

Primary Purpose:

 

Supervises and coordinates activities of work crew engaged in installation of machinery and equipment in industrial establishment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers. Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel. May study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job. Analyzes and resolves work problems. Maintain time records. May make cost estimates for contracts.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Working foremen should be able to: Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy; Follow instructions and read blueprints; Work at heights without fear; Use logical step-by-step procedures in work; Plan work and solve problems; Make decisions based on measurable information; Perform a variety of duties which may change often; and operate machinery. Physically, working foremen must be able to: Coordinate eye-hand movements; Use hands and fingers fully; Climb and maintain body balance; See and hear well (either naturally or with correction); Lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds; and stoop and bend. Completion of apprenticeship program and appropriate journeyman experience required.
