Welder (Non-Union)

Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc., known as a leading one stop shop provider for complex industrial services is seeking a Welder at our Lafayette, Indiana. This position requires a self-motivated individual to assist with performing ASME IX Welding in SMAW, GMAW and GTAW on pipe, structural steel and plate. Must be familiar with stationary cutting tools, basic math, must have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, good communication skills and strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

• The ideal candidate must be able to pass welding entry exam.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, handle large weldment assemblies, heavy and light steel fabrication and welding.
• Able to layout complex weldments without the aid of fixtures, and weld in all positions.
• Knowledge of general industrial construction, knowledge of general safety requirements for industrial installations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required with 1 to 3 years of Welding experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills are required.
